We have decided to promote the Red Wattle Hog to help recover this rare heritage breed from the critically endangered list.

 We were going to purchase a pure-bred boar to start, but after much research on how inbred the Red Wattle lines are becoming,  we decided to go with a boar that has some fresh genetics from crossbreeding.

I will be on the lookout for another pure bred Red Wattle gilt in the future to breed  with one of Zoe's offspring.
